I have an '04 Road King Classic that I bought last June. Previous owner is an HD employee and buys a new RK every year and moves the goodies from the old bike to the new, so the '04 I bought is stock with the exception that he left the techlusion tuner on the bike. I'm assuming it's running pretty rich based on the low to mid-30mpg performace. Bike runs fine other than the milage and the stock acoustics.
I'm about ready to pull the trigger on a pair of V&H Ovals and an Arleen Ness Big Sucker. I'm going to stay with the stock headers for now. Does anyone have comments on the Techlusion tuner and or my proposed setup? I will probably try the Techlusion Tuner regardless as I can always swap the tuner, just looking for any insite.
If the guy left the tuner on and put the stock pipes back on your running real rich. When you get your new pipes it will probably run better even before you tune it.

Thanks,
You can always turn the pots (settings) all the way CCW until they stop and that will put you back to stock MPG's until you install the aforementioned parts.
I installed the TFI today in conjuction with S/E Pro slipons and S/E Air Cleaner with K&N filter. My bike is running stonger than before and no popping on decel. I will see what kind of MPG I'm getting at my next fill up.
Here's a link to the Dobeck Forum where you can read all about the TFI and Harley's
I'm planning on having the new pipes and air cleaner on before the riding season begins again here in Wisconsin. Did you use the Dobeck settings only or did you have your bike tuned on a dyno too?
I have tried the TFI in the past and have been very dissapointed with the cheap wire connection hook-ups. Seemed pretty Micky Mouse considering the cost. Mine also ran rich on the leanest setting. I s@#t canned mine and went with Power Commander, it ran much better and I had peace of mind that the wires weren't going to come loose somewhere on the road, due to crappy connections. If you have injected bike go for the S.E.Race Tuner and be done with it. It is a much better set up especially if you plan future mods.
I was a huge proponent for the TFI as I used it on my last bike, a 04 RS Warrior, with great success. When I bought the 06 Roadglide I bought one and just couldn't get it right. Ultimately I sold it and went to the PC III. The bike is incredibly responsive now and fuel economy went from 32 mpg to 40 mpg. If you can afford it I say PC III.
I have it on my 04 FLTRI with the recommended settings and never have had to adjust it. Highly recommended. I've turned others on to it that were having issues. We all love it.

Wayne,
No I have not had it dyno'd, I just dialed in the numbers myself. My TFI came with OEM type connectors. I did not have to splice into any wires like it was mentioned on here earlier in another post.
I do not know yet if my settings are running rich. Like I mentioned before, I just installed it yesterday and will gauge my MPG after a couple of tank fulls of gas.
I have the TFI on my 06 flhx and it runs much better than stock but not great and my mpg suffered also. I have had it dyno tuned with the sniffer and it is at its best ....so far,I am considering the pc III.
