check the connections on the nuetral switch....located just behind the chrome transmission top cover. it looks like an old temp or oil sending unit. you can also unscrew it and clean it to see if there is any metal dust particles on it. short of that replace the switch.

Mine was doing the same thing a while back. $6 bucks and a 7/8 socket, changedthe neutral switchout and it hasn't happened since. I "thought" there was a recall of some sort dating back to even the '06's, but I can't find it.

Mine had a loose connector on the switch mentioned by Twincam. Squeezed the connector a little so it would grab the terminal better and that cured it.

No recall. Have the new updated neutral safety switchinstalled. It will be covered under warranty. The part number is 33926-06B. The internal spring has been changed. This flashing condition could also cause security issues while riding. I would get replaced as soon as possible. It could leave you stranded.Have the dealer reference Service Bulletin M-1205.

That's what it was. Thanks for clearing it up Gutman. Just found it and read it myself buried in the Bulletin.[&:]

being that service bulletin M-1205 was issued 3-16-2007 and depending on when his bike was manufactured (?) he could already have the new switch ?
