I have a 2003 road king I want to change my rubber motor mounts But I cant findanything in the sevice manuelon them orthe part # on the HD site?? I,ve been getting a vibrationthat I think may be the motor mounts. The bottem mountcame lose a while ago, figured just had to tighten it ,but now with the new vibration? cant see any rips in it I need alittle help with this Thank
Do you have the parts manual? The parts manual will show the part number, but any HD parts counter guy should be able to look it up for you.
Have you verified that the vibration is motor related? If it only vibrates when the bike is moving, it could be tire balance or wear (or several other causes). If you get the vibration when bike is not moving andin neutral, it could be a motor mount.
I had an new vibration develop on my 03 FXD recently and replaced the front motor mount, but that made no difference. I will replace the rear mount next weekend and see if that helps.
