Had a Mustang on a Heritage and loved it. have the sundowner on my SG and i will be putting a touring mustang on it in the near Future, Mustang is a great seat.
I dumped the stock seat for a Mustang Regal. That was a big improvement, but the Road Zeppelin is the right stuff. This is definitely my favorite seat. Very comfortable and infinitely adjustable on the fly....
Mustang came out with their solo and passenger pillon last week. The rider solo is new for '08, so I have not tested it yet, but the '07 model did great on my Road King. The 13.5 inch passenger pillon was very comfortable for my wife for all-day rides and it's the same for '08.
I have both a Corbin touring and a Mustang regal. Tried both and liked the Mustang best for the ride but liked the looks of the Corbin much more. They were used on my 99 ultra. The 99 is traded on a 08 ultra so both seats are for sale now. Both are in great shape. PM me
Consider having your stock seat reworked. Check out mean city cycles on this site under sponsors. Other than that I would also consider the HD Sundowner seat, Corbin and Mustang.
The Mustang touring seat w/ backrest that I used on my Kawasaki 1600 was a waste of money. I say this because after 300 miles my bottom hurt BAD!. The stock seat was comfortable longer.
I have the mustang with a backrest (love the backrest) and a 13.5" pilion on my rk - wife and I are both very happy with the mustang - can only compare to stock though, and there is no comparison.
Another vote for the Air Zepp seat. Rode to Reno from So. Cal and we are both comfortable. Had Corbin on RK and it was nice, but this is a real cruising seat.
I just bought a mustang 1peice FHLT touring seat and put it on my RKC, love the way it looks(covers the screw/washer on console) it puts me about 1 1/2" higher(needs to be broken in) but brings my legs closer to the bike, wicked comfortable, and the passenger pillon is way bigger and more comfortable than stock. Mustangs my choice.
