I'm upgrading the 88 to a 103 w/ 10.5:1, stroker, se 103+ heads, se 257 cam and sert, anyone comment on perf. It should end up a bit over 100 hp & tq.
FWIW: None of the SE performance builds have good dyno charts for torque IMO--all of them are ascending slopes to a brief peak and then a rapidly descending slope. If you look at dyno charts for HQ, GMR, and other reputable vendors, their 103 packages make 100 tq or more and make it early and keep it late--the torque line is very flat compared to the peaky SE torque.
So, yes, you will probably have a 100/100 (with a good tune and precise assembly) but it will be momentary compared to the HQ et al. packages.
Next time you are at your dealer, ask to see the SE Performance Parts Catalog and take a look at the dyno charts on pp. 24 and 25.
HQ 95" builds make better power than the SE 103" kits; the hp/tq charts have more "area under the curve" meaning they make more power earlier and keep it longer.
If you haven't already purchased the SE stuff, take a look at the HQ and GMR products.
