GPS.....
My buddy has one and it is awesome. It does comes with all of the bells and whistles. It comes with a handlebar mount and wiring harness that runs from the handlebar mount to the battery. Plus it comes with a cigarette cord and a suction mount for your car. This package also comes with a computer program that is nice. You can highlight your roads and save it to you computer. Then hook your GPS unit to your computer via USB cable and upload your maps. This is nice if you want to choose your roads for a scenic ride verses using the major roads and interstates.
I highly recommend this unit. I plan to purchase one for myself in the very near future. I have the map program on my computer. I usually plan our routes and send my buddy the maps via email. Then he uploads it to the computer for our long rides with many, many turns.

Seriously, for motorcycle use I require the following;
1, waterproof
2, able to download routes from my PC
3, custom POI capability
4, large screen ( old eyes)
Now some things that a nice
1, touch screen
2, internal battery
Now let's get down to price....how much do you want to spend???? DO you want to be able to use it in the car as well as the bike?
Wife going to use it too ????? Are you PCchallenged ??
Assuming that your asking what kind, you are not familiar with GPS units....
So, if price was not a issue, I would get the Zumo 550 /reasons? Made for motorcycles, waterproof, preloaded with all of USA, large screen, touch screen, buttons on left side of unit ( MC friendly) MP3, blue tooth, XM radio capability, use in car or bike, very easy to learn....
Budget priced, the Garmin 2720 is a very nice unit, although discontinued by Garmin, it's still supported by Garmin...it's waterproof, touchscreen, preloaded with all USA, nice screen, custom poi capable, remote ( in car use) switch back to car and bike, text to speech, and not a bad price ( around 300.00/350.00 if you shop around) no internal battery though...
Garmin Quest 2 ( same as the Harley version without Harley logos)
The NUVI series are nice, but not waterproof and can't download routes or waypoints, can't store waypoints or routes. same for the "C" series units ( C340, C360 etc)
Yes, all of them are Garmin units, I have had nothing but GREAT customer service from Garmin, and will not buy anything else..that's me though.
Hope this helps, feel free to pm me
