Anyone runnin Performance Machine six piston duals on their road FL...if so how does the factory bore hand control hold up? Any big increase in braking power? Thanks. Pics if ya got em!!
i run a single disk 6piston....stock master....stops great...its on the recommended upgrade list in my book
So, you're using a single six piston caliper, and one rotor, with the stock 11/16 master cylinder? I thought that we "HAD" to use the 5/8? If this is true, it sure would save some money not having to buy a new master cylinder.
I'm running a single Jaybrake 6 piston caliper with the stock rotor and master cylinder. Works great. I know others will disagree with me, but I really don't feel like I lost any braking power over the stock calipers.
Im running dual pm 6 pistons on my street glide. After about 1 quart of brake fluid,approx.60 bleeds with and without vac bleeder,I put my stocks back on,and went to pm. Found out they changed o-ring manufact. and put to thick of o-rings in! It took about 4 pumps to get brakes! They put new o-rings in,and now they work great! One suggestion to pm,use a larger bleeder screw, more like factory ones, those pm units strip easy!
I am running a single six piston PM caliper on the front of my bike and a 4 piston PM on the rear. They are chrome (ooohhh). I bought the bike used with them on but am quite happy with them as I have compared them to my wife's stockers on her 05 sporty and there is no comparison. When I ride the sportster I have to grab the brakes a couple of minutes before I want to stop it seems. The PM's provide excellent stopping power on my fatboy, even with the extreme weight of the bike. I would highly recommend this mod. I find brakes to be on of the most important items on a bike along with the tires. In fact the PM's are the thing that really swayed me to buy the bike I have.
