GPS Help
I have searched this site and found lots of info, but still confused/unsure.
I want to mount my Nuvi 660 or Nuvi 350 to my Street Glide depending on if the 660 is obtrusive due to size. I checked the Ram Mount site and it is confusing to me. What parts do I need to do it right?
Then I came across this (picture below) in another post, but cannot find them for sale on ebay as the auction has ended. I think this may be the way I want to go of course since it seems I can't have it.
Also I sawsomeone mention in a post that a member of this site made a good mount. Can anyone show me what it looks like?
Thanks in advance for your help.

I found the mount on the website www.zillionbuy.com. I am not sure of the mount angle, but I am going to give it a try.
WAIT!!!!!!!!
dude... do yourself a favor and purchase the Zumo 550.
A little more expensive but well worth it.
I researchedthis foralmost 2 months prior to leaving on a road trip to Ruidoso New Mexico and it came down to 2 pretty simple choices. Zumo 550 and TomTom being that they were at the time (3 months ago) the ONLY 2 GPS unit specifically designed for motorcycles.
I went with the Zumo 550 for 2 reasons;
1. The TomTom got horrible reviews for backlighting, daylight visibility, and overall performance.
2. The Zumo had a TON more features including the optional XM radio/weather/traffic features (obviously which I chose to go with)
That weather piece saved my butt BIG-TIME while in Ruidoso one afternoon when we rounded a mountain range and were confronted with black (and I mean black) clouds to the right of us and black clouds to the left of us. Pulled off the road as the leader of the pack (yep 2 whopping bikes) and I was the leader... LOL. Anyway, pulled off the road pulled up the weather on this thing and whala... it showed the weather to the east and west of us. We were headed back West at the next turn of course. We decided to continue in a southerly direction and made an eaterly turn about 5 miles up the road and headed into Roswell NW for a visit to the Alien shop. Stuck around there for about an hour then headed back west to the camp site. As we were getting close (within a couple of miles) of the cabins we started noticing what appeared to be about 3 inches of snow on the sides of the roads. When we arrived at the cabins where many other bikers were staying, we were confronted with HAIL... YES HAIL... 2 friking inches of this **** everywhere. People's cars were damaged, trailers damaged, bikes damaged...
Anyway, the total price on this thing was about $800 with the XM piece but the best damned investment I've made to date for the bike.
Have fun, stay safe, ride hard.

OH! and it comes with the ram-mount for the bike, and a windshield/suction cup mount for the car.

Yeah I get it. However, I already have a Nuvi 350 and 660 that me and mife wife use in our cars. I wanted to get a mount for one of those first. I may end up getting a Zumo later. I should be able to use the same mounting plate if I do go that route.
Can someone tell me if the vibration will damage either of my Garmin NUVI's? I just hate to drop more $$ on another GPS when I can only use one at a time anyway.

Yes, the Zumo coast a little more, but the return is great.

Cool. I think I will try the NUVI first. All I really want to do is get lost and then punch the "Go Home" button.
BTW, I get your points, but my 660 does have MP3, Bluetooth and Traffic Alert. Still Waterproof and XM would be nice! AHHHH what am I going to do.[
]How lucky can one man be to have a wife that doesn't b--ch about me buying a new SG and his biggest issue right now is what GPS to mount to it. Makesme feel really lucky!
The only downside is now she wants me to trade in my Springer for a Street Bob for her.
Thanks for the help guys.
