I am close to pulling the trigger on a new RKC (Pacific Blue Pearl).Currently ride an 03 Wideglide. I think it's the best lookin' solid color offered on this bike for this year......If anyone has apic of a new RKC in PBP please post it!!
This forum has been great for helping me understand the new features and also differences from 07s. I tried to find a previous post discussing the front cylinder mount or stabilizer gizmo that attaches to the frame and to the top of the head.
What is the purpose of this thing and why was it added to the 08 touring line?To me it looks terrible! But I can probably live with it.........
Ok so the mount was relocateddue to the TBW feature and the6 gal tank.. Just wish they would have put more thought into the new mount....it doesn't really fit the bike and seems like a last minute "ohdamn we overlooked that...why don't we just"
I didn't even notice it until someone here pointed it out. It doesn't bother me at all. It could be a big ugly radiator in front, now that would look bad.
Where else do you suggest they move it. KillerBob is correct. With the larger tank, t-body and throttle servo there was just no room. Top engine stabilizer goes on top. the only place to relocate is the front.
yes....before too long you will see a sweet looking chrome or polished unit avaliable.....from what I hear there are all sorts of new goodies coming down the pike for the 08' Touring models. The MOCO releases a bunch of new stuff every year right before the Holidays....
