Default Thar she blows

On my way to the Stealer today to get my new wheels put on, it was a nice day for ride at first. When all of a sudden there is oil every where at 70mph. Got her whoaed up and stayed up and over to the side of the road safely.

So here is my question, I have an 08 FLHT with the SE 103" kit and something in the Lifter Block or head Gasket area let loose. has anyone heard of anything like this or is it just my luck ?

They thought it was a Misaligned Oil Pump at first and may well still be. Any thoughts on the matter would be appreciated.

Take a flashlight and look closely and see if you can determine exactly where it's coming from.

I bet it will become obvious.

How long have you had the 103 kit (miles)?

I have heard of rocker cover gaskets being installed upsidedown and causing oil to blow everywhere. However, it would happen pretty quick so if you have more than 50~100 miles on the 103, this is likely not the cause....

If ya can't tell, take some digital pics and post'm. I bet we can figure it out.

I have over 2000 miles on it since the install. I was on my way to the dealer when she went so they came and got it and there it sits

I can say with almost all certainty that it was coming from the rear head around the lifter block. What ever blew it pumped the oil out real quick, what would do that ?other than abroken LB or a blownhead gasket which I seen no evidence of.

Might have to run down and snap a few pic's tomorrow we'll see how good my dealer is now. thanks for the reply

I had the bolts on one lifter block come loose on my Evo powered FXRS. It pumped oil out EVERYWHERE!!! Even though I took it to the carwash more than once, there was still oil coming from every where for what seemed like forever...
