I did a mount on my Road King fairing that was pretty slick, but it sucked if it rained and 2 years ago I bounced a receiver out of the mount running 80 down the interstate. Don't want that to happen again!!

I have been an XM subscriber for over 5 years.... i could never go back to am/fm.
I wanted XM on my bike but didn't want to pay $500+.
Last week I bought the XM Inno. It is awesome!!!
I hardwired the car kit onto my 08SG. It is mounted on top of the fairing in the center of the widshield. I bonded the antenna to the cap covering the hole opposite the radio antenna on the rear fender.
I can't change the channels with the stock stereo... but i control the volume by using the aux channel(wired through the back of the unit.)
If you don't know... Inno is a portable XM reciever with an MP3 player. You can record up to 50hrs. of XM programming or upload music just like you would with an Ipod. You can also walk around with it. It's about the size of an average cell phone. It has a built in antenna so it recieves without being docked.I now use this single unit in my car, my truck and on my scoot.
I used to have 3 XM subscriptions... I am now down to one.

when you hard wired it did you have to cut off the cigarette lighter adapter?

Where do you find this critter, Trock?
[/quoteHoz, there are serveral places you can buy the unit, I'll give you a link for a place called My radio store that has them. They don't have one for the HK radio yet but I hear more are in the works. You can see in the link there are 6-8 different radios now that it works on and you can read how it works. http://www.audiovox.com/webapp/wcs/s...xmdirect2.html

I think if you wait a few days they will be one! Anyday now they are going to decide about the merger. I don't think I'd invest to much money in any Sat. equipment until then. One of them will probably fold if it doesn't.
