This is my first time doing this so I wanted to run the numbers I came up with by this forum and see if everything seems like it is in the ballpark. I have a 2007 FLHRS and am putting on Carlini 16" Flyin apes. The measurements I came up with are +11 inches over stock on the clutch, +11 on the throttle and +11 on the idle for my cable lengths. Does this pass the snicker test..? For the wires I just ordered a wire extension kit from JP and will just solder them to the length I need.
One more quick question before I pull the trigger on the cables - I have decided to add cruise control while I am doing this job, do I have to order anything special with the idle/throttle cables for cruise - I am a little confused on this having seen posts on idle cables that havea rolloff adjust. switch in them - I dont even know what that is for - is that in all idle cables..? I plan to order my cables today so any clarification of that before hand would be greatly appreciated.
These bars are sweet looking. I'm a bit jealous so I can't wait for him to post the pic and does his pictorial of the whole event. Look for the thread titled "Two Noobs and their Wrench"
