I think it's too much too. It's a plate and a couple bolts. I'm gonna get my bike on a lift, make a template out of card board and fab one up. Maybe I'll even come up with a better design, start my own company and get rich!
The price is a bit high....but unless you feel you can reproduce one of similar quality for less money...the price is right on. Although the price is high....I still classify it in the "fairly priced" category. Its well made, customer service is good.....and I have yet to read any negative reports on the True-Track...outside of a few who have reported a bit more vibration getting transmitted up to the bars, and I think that could be eliminated with a new set of bushings on the engine mounts.

I had true track on the 03 FLHT and it made a BIG diff in overall stability and handlin, both at low and slow and especially in the twisties, The rubber swing arm bushings allowed the rear to have a mind of it's own. On the 08 ultra I haven't put it on yet as I think HD knows of this dilema and has fixed it in the form of more dense rubber and heavier bushings, have 4K on the 08 and been to the 3 sisters(Swiss Alps of TEXAS)and to the Ozarks (MT Nebo) and I don't think I'll mount it on the 08.
It is more stable & the bike feels safer to ride.Regards,Tom

Yes,Harley has dramaticly changed the chassis & improved the bikes handling on the 08s.I think the new stablizer on the front head coupled with what you said about the bushings & rubber mount is true.I really bought this item on a flooke & wasplanning on complaining to True Track if it did not work.Man, it really works!Very Nice.I really ride too.I have 5K on mine bike & have had it for less than 6 weeks.I usually do 30k + per year.I have been to the GrandCanyon,Tombstone,Ajo,Mexican Border,Laughlin Nv,California.Regards,Tom

Installed my first True Track.WOW!!!This might be the best under $400 upgrade(398 shipped from TrueTrack).I can't believe this thing. This little gaget works like a charm. The unit installs in less than 30 minutes & completely changes the character of the bike.I noticed atidle the bike was different.Rode out the drive way??Wow power to the ground & very stable! So different,it is hard to explain. At highway speed(AZ=75+mph),it'srock solid, yet smoother. In the long sweeping turns,no more wallowing. It is even faster.Yep,faster.Why?Because I can ride it faster because of the superior handling.Over the yearsone of the first things I change is the stock shocks to progressive 440s.I thought the shocks were the weak link in the rubber mount chassis.I know the 440s are nice & I may change shocks at a later date.My point is:For $400,I would choose the TrueTrack over changing shocks or even motorwork.Regards,Tom
