I was asked to leave a none refundable deposit of $1000 if I wanted to order a RK (Black pearl) w/ ABS. I would not mind leaving a deposit, but not if I cant get it back if I change my mind. Other dealers will refund deposits. I would take 8-10 weeks to get that color w/ ABS. I gave up I will just wait!
Dont know about the consumer laws in the US of A, but here on the West coast of BC they are not allowed to keep your money if you decide you dont want the vehicle, be it a bike or a car....
I would seriously consider another dealer at this point in the game of buying a bike.
Just my .02 worth.

Find another dealer and let the old one know about it. They suck. When I ordered my 07 CVO, I did it over the phone with my CC. It was refundable! Good luck.
your dealer ship is just being a bone hawk.. we return depoist all the tim ewhen people change there minds or there wife so no after they already put the money down.. any ways the dealer ship can do a dealer loctor and get it from another dealer ship if they would like your business that bad...its dealers like that, that give the rest of the other dealers a hard time to sell bikes new and used...
I ordered my road king over the phone and they didnt even want a deposit...I thought it was kinda odd...and it came in early....the way it sounds on the forum...most of you guys are waiting and waiting
