The Black Cherry is a cool color, use it as a base and add graphics or striping to it. I took the Candy Sunglo on my RG and two toned it with some striping. It's a lot less expensive and looks great. Just my $.02.
Well thank you guys and obviously my direction is clear. Exhaust it is. I really was unsure about my color. I liked the black cherry pearl but I felt that the customizing options ended with that. I thought that the paint sucked actually. I bought the bike used for an un-heard of amount of an 07 so paint really didn't matter so much. Thank you guys and I will keep everyone updated.
I am planning some upgrades this Winter on my SG also. FIRST THINGS FIRST........its getting the Rinehart TD's with the SE Heavy Breather, and a SERT and dyno tune. Then I may do something with the paint???? and I never understood the want for a 21" front wheel on a touring bike....yes it looks cool and all, but I like the way the bikes ride with the stock size wheels. I have a 21 on my SE-Deuce, and at speeds at and over 90 MPH the front can wander a bit and feel light....and no...it has nothing at all to do with "fall away adj" or steering head tightness.
Well now that you know what I would do with and in what order to my SG....I guess you know what I would do with yours!
I think I may opt out on the 21" for either an 18" or 19" wheel. Then I don't have to worry about clearence issues. Then I can also go with a wider tire as well I am not stuck with 2.75 of 3.5mm width of the 21" front wheel. The SG defnitily needs some chrome under those fenders though.
First, exhaust setup for a real performance improvement. Black cherry pearl is really pretty, but if you want new paint, then it would really set off the bike. Wheels are always a maintenance issue no matter what you get.
