Real life "stuff" is often much funnier than what the comedy writers can create. The following is from the 11PM news (ABC) a few nights ago in Los Angeles.
In Santa Clarita (about 30 north of LA), a few teens stole the baby Jesus from 12 manger scenes from front yards. They stacked them in front of a nearby church, undamaged, with some esoteric note. Police are clueless as to who or why this was done. Homeowners came and collected their baby Jesus. Reporter interviews a woman and her young daughter, who went to the church to recover her property. She says:
"I'm just happy to get Jesus back. It's been in our family a long time. I guess when I get him home I'll have to nail him down." Reporter stands speechless.
Ya think she'll regret the choice of words? Fortunately for her, Leno is in re-run.
