My brother ('05 Road King) & I were @ a local dealer the other day and saw a used RK w/what I'll call an insert or fender extension. Itis a part the goes between the fender and the hard bags so it covers up the space between the two. Also, on the bottom under the fender it had 3 slots that held running lights. I'm not sure if I'm explaining this vwry well...but it's a start.
Thanks!!
Sounds like your describing the "filler strips". HD make them in chrome or matching paint. Also fenders are available with them built in. The part with the three lights sounds like the new Rear Fender Valence they came out with this year.
If the filler strips between the fender and saddlebags and the lower portion with three slots is one continuous piece, it's a Street Glide facia that is attached to the fender and the three slots at the bottom are for the tri-bar LED light. Adding the Street Glide facia to a Road Glide, RK, or Electra Glide has been done many times by HDF members.
If the filler strips are seperate pieces and the tri-bar light is seperate also, it's probably HD's accessory filler strips and the '07 LED/fender extension accessory, but that is available in chromed plastic.
The parts for the Street Glide facia/LED are about 150 bucks.
Idont know if you can find it on HD web site I never had much luck finding any thing on their web site recently ordered mine from zanoties Harleypingman helped me out with all off his posts do a search on streed glide rear facia on here alot of information I dont yet have the knowledge to post sites on here finally got pictures figured out I think it cost me around a 150.00 or so colormatched from zanotis
