Default Download?

I am getting Rinehart TD's and SE air filter kit from Eastern performance for my '07 RG. Will it be O.K. to ride the bike 90 miles to the dealer for the download after the pipes and air filter are installed or should I trailer it? I would rather ride but don't want to do any damage to the engine.

I wouldn't recommend having the dealer do a download.... Seeing as you have a '07 they are required by EPA and that means they will be adjusting to the leaner side which in the long run will do nothing for you.... Get a Fuel Management System and do it yourself.....
And 90 miles isn't a short trip and you may be running even leaner with the RHTD installed...

I gotta agree with Pappy... The DL will do nothin for you... I run the TD's and Ness Big Sucker and I did not do the DL... I ordered a PCIII from FuelMoto loaded with the correct bike and mine runs great, and you aren't really lookin at that much more of an expense...

Download works fine for me. If heat doesn't bother you (it never has me) then go for the download.
You will enjoy the better milage.

Even the dealer told me the download was crap without trying to sell me anything else.

The down load is a bandage. You should invest in a SERT. You will love it.
I wouldn't ride it 90 miles for a down load, as a matter of fack I wouldn't ride it 90 miles after I had the down load.
