Default Chrome front end

Has anyone attempted to install chrome afrontend on their bagger? How hard can this be? I asked the dealer, they want 370.00 in labor! Thats about 4 hours. I'm also installing athe lowering springs too. Might be something I can do in a good afternoon.
Any tips for doing this on a bagger. I have a streetglide.
Thanks

Its not to hard. I did it on my old classic I would recomend a service manual. I did take them to the dealer to have the seals put in . I did the lowering kit also.

It is a little more difficult on your ride, you have to remove the valving then reprime the valve, this is a new step fro the older models. If I am not mistaken the valve is only in one lower ot both sides.

I had mine done at the dealer last winter during one of their winter specials. Forget the price, but it was a pretty good deal. This time of year, I'd look around at different dealers.

Its not real hard to do if you have the manual take your time and plan things out.

are you buying the HD forks? i am doing mine rite now and had my stuff sent off to be chromed. i got the forks, slider covers, and both brake calipers done cheaper than buy the legs from HD. it was $450 to get done and i think the chrome forks alonefrom HD is more than that.

Not for the timid with a bagger. So much stuff to disassembly just to get to the fork uppers.

If your not comfortable taking apart your front end be safe and let a mechanic do it, besides if you don't have all the right tools that would be an added expense.
