I think (not sure about the black ones) you have to purchase the set. Give me a few hours to see if I have one left from when I changed mine to chrome, I've given several friends some that have lost them too. Once I get off work I'll look to see and PM you. You need the Push to Talk/ squelch in black?
Flyslow,
I don't have the Push To Talk/Squelch button, but I have the one that goes on the other side that looks just like it, I believe it's the cruise bottom. If you want it I will mail it to you free of charge so you will have somethingtill you get the right one, I forgot to look at the Volume button but I believe it's there too. I knew I let some friends have some they had lost also, but didn't remember what they were. If you'd like them PM me and I'll send them to you.
Thanks for checking. I fouund the part numbers for the switch caps in the parts catalog and they are only about 6 dollars each so I will jsut stop at HD tomrorow during lunch.
I appreciate the offer but the postage would be almost as much as the switch cap itself.
If I can do anything to help in the future please let me know.
You are quiet welcome, that's what it's all about helping each other and it's not like I was using them or anything.
Good luck with the new ones, they are a PITA to get and keep on, I've lost several chrome ones over the years just riding down the road like you.
Gloves in the winter seem to be a problem with me, hope you have a great day and be careful out there.
I was out riding New Years Day and the PTT / Squelch switch decided to take a trip on its own and left the left handgrip.
Does anyone have the part number for this switch cap so I can go order a replacement part for my controls?
While you are looking, the volume switch next to it is also loose so I might as well get a replacement ordered for it as well.
The switches are black and not chromed.
Thank you for all your assistance and Happy new year!
I lost the same switch on a long ride after Thanksgiving. Dealer replaced it for free on warranty. I have it sitting here on my desk waiting to stick it on.
