I have an 03 Road King Classic that had mini apes (13") when I bought it. I am considering some narrow beach bars as I honestly likethe comfort of the mini apes but just don't like the look on my RKC. Does anyone have these narrow beach bars on their bike and any input to offer up as to looks and riding comfort?
Never rode a bike with the narrow beach bars, but I've had beach bars on a few other bikes and liked them very much. I'm in the process of putting on some beach bars on my RK Classic this winter. But im installing the Chubby's Wild 1s bars and they are like 37" wide.
Here are the Wild One Chubby Road King bars I think they were like 32" they had two models if I remember correctly these are the narrower ones...These are on a 97 RK..They looked great and I loved them, needed to change to a 1 piece clamp on Top from the 2 piece to keep them from slipping.
You would be surprised at how well the bike handles with these bars. They are very comfortable. You might want to try them before you brand them impractical.
Go to http://www.wild1inc.com/wo504a.htmlWild 1 chubby bars. They are not to wide nor do have to much pull back (so they don'r feel like you are using a tiller to). I have on mine...see my sig picture.
