Are your turn signals and everything else working? Your security module is actually part of of your turn signal module (tssm). There really is no just unplugging it. Im pretty sure if you un-plug it the bike wont run at all. The reason the security light is flashing is its flashing you a troulbe code. Probably got nothing to do with the security system. I dont want to scare you but I had an 05 R.K. last summer that had similar sypmtoms, it spent almost two months at the dealership and they never did figure it out, they ended up giving me a new bike. I heard they ended up replacing the wiring harness, speedo, and tssm, and it seemed o.k., the re-sold the bike and havent heard since. If its allowing the bike to start at all I would bet its not the security module. Check to see if your turn signals are working and all other functions. First place I would check is fuses. If fuses are fine see if you can find out what the code is that the security light is flashing.
