Passanger Backrest Problem

I just bought a Styled Backrest Mounting Plate (H-D part # 52825-05) http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US
problem is it does not fit right the pad wiggles and the plate is as tight as it's gonna get. Anyone else have this problem? What did you do to fix it?

I have the same one, but with no problems. Just an idea, what if you put a washer(s) between the plate and the pad just to make it a bit tighter of a fit....

I think you can shim it with some washers....

What he said. We have the washers between the plate and the pad.

Hey Superglide 04 - The only options I see for the backrest plate you have is some of the same advise. Washers between the plate and the pad orshorter mounting screws. Because of the way that style plate mounts, it seems to reduces the tension needed to hold the pad in place. However, I have buddys who seem to do fine with it and have no problems.
