Just remember for a sert to work correctly it has to be dynoed by somebody that knows the program. And when changes are made it needs to be redynoed.
The TM may cost more but its worth it. TM has Wide Band Oxygen sensors. The kind of pipes you have on your bike can also determine how well or how fast the TM will tune yer bike. I had the Fat CAts on my bike and it was incredible.
TM has pretty good tech suppost too.
If you git a TM and put Antiseize on the oxygen sensors use as little as possible, The Anti Seize can mess the oxygen sensors up. I put mine in dry like my builder said.

I agree with your faster comment, but not necessarily your better comment.

What if one doesn't have a laptop and one isn't very computer savvy? What exactly is a computer needed for at initial setup??

Just have someone else load it up for you.
this is a quote from another thread

"I've got my tmax installed on the bike.... ... At first I was intimidated with all the map loading thing so I had Bart (shooter64) preload a map"

Shooter64 here sells them, and he had the best price I was able to find, and he has offered and given loads ofhelp here. just search. I just purchased one from him with d&d fat cats and an a/c. hopefully will be here soon

That's great. A pre-loaded base map means you can install and go.
