This is GREAT to hear!! I just purchased one and will be installing it this winter, after a visit to Midas since I have Vance&Hines duals. I will be selling my PC3 as soon as I get my TMax if anyone is interested
I'm running the EFI t-max auto-tune, with a D&D fatcat, and a 3909 K&N air cleaner setup on
my 07 RKC, works perfect, sounds great, I had the quiet baffle installed to.
This is all great news. I also got one for Christmas and plan on installation after I get all my parts collected. ie headers, mufflers and intake. I am planning Bassani headers with V&S mufflers and a Wimmer intake. If anyone has this setup I would certainly like to get your opinion.
How many cycles (on -off) does it generally take to fully tune the system ? Also if the autone hasnt been fully cycled do you think that would affect start up performance?
The cycle on for 30 and off for 30 is 3 times and that's to initalize the unit to find the TPS sensor Etc.
You need to vary yer riding and it should take about 500 miles to tune the unit if you have the correct map setup at the beginin.
The bike tunes to where you ride, thats why I was saying to vary you riding habits so it will tune in other rpm ranges. The TM with A/T has like 1894 tunable squares in their map.
Ok, ok..........I'm interested in the Tmax with auto tune cause I'm suffering big loss in MPG's but sweet increase in power with PCIII USB....i'm thinking I need to go back to a closed loop setup with wide band sensors.
But let me toss a question out first.....Let's say I don't want true duals, but prefer the quazi 2-into-1 Rush muffs I got from Jamie at Fuelmoto and retain my stock head pipes with 02 bungs already in place to preserve low end torque.
Note: I never plan big bore or head work
Is anyone yet running such a setup?, Or is anyone here running Tmax auto tune with 2-into-1?
So you have 2 into 1 exhaust and still using your stock headpipes? Haven't heard of that set-up? are you using a ghost pipe?
What if one doesn't have a laptop and one isn't very computer savvy? What exactly is a computer needed for at initial setup??
Base map setup and you can see if the auto tune is workin. You can order the unit new with the setup you have. If you make changes you may have to change the base map setup.
Also there's updates to the program. you need a computer so you can update the software.
There is also other things.
