Tundermax (Tmax) Report
ORIGINAL: YodaddyKeith
Ok, ok..........I'm interested in the Tmax with auto tune cause I'm suffering big loss in MPG's but sweet increase in power with PCIII USB....i'm thinking I need to go back to a closed loop setup with wide band sensors.
But let me toss a question out first.....Let's say I don't want true duals, but prefer the quazi 2-into-1 Rush muffs I got from Jamie at Fuelmoto and retain my stock head pipes with 02 bungs already in place to preserve low end torque.
Note: I never plan big bore or head work
Is anyone yet running such a setup?, Or is anyone here running Tmax auto tune with 2-into-1?

I'm currently running a PCIII with true duals and a SE air cleaner/K&N andSuperTrapp mufflers with discs. I'm interested in this TMax and have been curious about it for awhile in fact. I need to have the O2 sensor bungs welded into my exhaust first.
Question #1: Is my set-up compatible and ready to go once I buy a TMax w/AutoTune?
Question #2: Once I have the bungs welded in to accept the O2 sensors I just install the unit, install the software and the TMax does the rest correct?
Question #3: What's the cost/best price currently for just the TMax/AutoTune (Link Please)?
Thanks!

mvinc01- I have the same set up you're thinking about, but haven't dyno'd it (one of the reasons I got it, happy with where I'm at). No help there, but IMHO a good combination. Much better than stock by the feel, or what others call the *** dyno. I could stay right there and be happy as a pig in siht, but may go for a cam change in the future.
arizona #3-give shooter64 a call, good prices and easy to deal with.

Best price for t-max is Shooter 64 just pm him.
yes it will "learn" any air/exhaust /etc combo. the base map is just the starting point.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My question is what does the t-max autoadjust just fuel afr ?
will it auto adjust timing ?
will it auto adjust rear cyl timing vs front cyl?
or anything else?
I see that you can manually change many things like base idle, timing, rev limit, decel fuel cut, decel fuel enrichment, initial fuel pulse, cranking fuel, engine temp alarm.

I would like to make the switch to the T-Max with Auto-Tune from my PCIII on my 2006 Road King.
I have V&H Dresser Duals on it. What is involved in getting the bungs installed for the O2 sensors?
I assume I would need to take the V&H off and have someone drill and weld the bungs into the correct place on the pipes. How do I know where to install them. Looks like a limited amount of clearance for mounting and installing the sensors.

Good question, I was wondering that myself!

The V&H duals should have sensor bungs in them already. Mine do, you will only have to have a muffler shop heat up the rear bung area and bend the bung up a little to make room for the longer TMax o2 sensor.

After base map is poaded you just ride, turn it off ride some more. About 300 to 500 miles, it ggets better and better. It will also auto adjust to changes in pipes, AC etc.
Question #3: What's the cost/best price currently for just the TMax/AutoTune (Link Please)? Shooter64 (Bart) www.cateyecustoms.com I think I paid 670 delivered OVERNIGHT to my door. Give him a call and give him some time, he had a whole family of good friends killed in the tornadoes in Arkansas last week.
Thanks!
