Default Adding a Zune Mp3 Player

Just wanted to share something that I enjoy. I bought a 2008 FLHX and found I can use my Zune easily with it. I bought a long arm bendable cell phone mount at Walmart for around 8 bucks then bent it around the right handlebar to the left of the throttle. Using a couple of Zipties I was able to secure it and because using Zipties I am able to remove it easily. This spring I will take some pics of the setup and post them.

A Zune is the Microsoft version of the Ipod. Bigger screen than Ipod and now in addition to a 30gb model they now have an 80gb model. I like it better than ipod due to large screen. I have a number of full-length videos as well as my whole music collection and thousands of digital pics.

It is really nice goin down the road with all my tunes instead of havin to use discs. I also have a cigarette charger for the Zune.

I dont know much about the Zune haven't researched it. If it has a hard drive in it, the vibration could cause the unit to fail. Might want to check that out before you develop a worthless Zune.

Zune is a solid-state unit. No moving parts. three buttons on the front.

I'm pretty sure the 30 and 80GB models have hard drives.

I was just reading seems they have a hard drive. I would not mount it to the handle bars it will fail. lots of guys had the same problems with the second generation ipods. put in your pocket or in a bag you should be fine.

You don't have to do it but I used mine without any problem. They DO NOT HAVE A HARD DRIVE....

total solid state.

I never realized it was so hard to share information on here.

Feel free not to take my suggestion. I will continue to use mine and happy about it. No discs to burn. But go ahead and don't do it.

Enjoy,

I am

I paid $40 for a 2gb sansa mp3 clip it and $3 for the cord to hook it to the radio. Use double stick tape to the dash and have 500 songs for $43 bucks.

Similar set here too. I have a 2 Gig Sandisk with the memory slot. I found Velcro with 3M tape backing a stuck on my handlebar by the Master Cylinder. My MP3 player is about all I listen to. As a backup I carry in my Tour Pack several MP3 CD's. Never listen to the radio anymore.

I have a Zune, and from the instruction booklet, it does use a hard drive... but I could be wrong. It is fine, and now that their marketplace has updated, I can download their videos... Are you able to load movies on to yours? If so, please tell me how to do it... All of my friends have ipods, but I had to be different, LOL. I have not explored the Zune, as much as I should, but it is fine... I just wish it had the same capabilities as the ipod... or at least the same amount of software... meaning, I really want to upload full length movies to it, I just don't know how...

I use my nano all the time. No fancy clamping system for me. Just use a cheap leather case and hook the belt clip to my mirror support. I don't know how I rode all those years without music.
