Default RE: faring mounted mirrors and wild1 575's

I have a set of 575s on my SG. I just ordered a set of mirrors with a 2" convex mirror built in.
The best I can tell the mirrors are several inches longer than the stock ones. The stock mirrors are only 4 inches long and if you measure the 2" convex mirror in the picture and then measure the rest of the mirror it appears the total length is over 6". I'll know in a few days when they come in.

I am putting the 575's on my 06 SG today. I am taking the fairing mounted irros off the bike. It just doesn't work well. Although I don't use my mirrors that often (prefer to turn the head) when I do, I want to clearly see.

Now, I am trying to figure out how to fill the d*mn holes in the fairing. Any suggestions?

Sure appreciate it!

I used tweeters to fill the holes on my FLHX.Follow the link on my above post to see photos of them.

Alamo,
Last summer temporarily I mounted a J&M CB onto my handlebars for the "Green Chili Tour" of Colorado. The CB made the SG mirrors useless. I mounted handlebar mirrors and plugged the holes with electrical knockout plugs painted black. A little silicone on them could make them semi-permanent and water tight.
