I have a friend with an 06 flhtcui and his cb radio sounds terrible. It sounds as if the signal is too strong and we can hear everything around him to the point that we try to limit our conversations with him. He has taken his bike in but they have not found the problem. I suggested they call the radio manufacturer. I don't know if its a coincidence but we tried another 06 flhtcui and it sounds the same.
I have an 06 Ultra with the same cb problem. I tried adjusting the swr reading by shortening the antenna but it did not help. I have read posts from several people with 06's that have this problem. One guy got the dealer to change out the cb module behind the fairing but that didn't help. The motor company needs to confer with Harmon Kardon to figure this out. My previous Ultra's 97,00,02 had cb's that transmitted perfectly. Could be all 06's are affected. Might be an internal adjustment that even the replacement modules have out of adjustment.

I think you'll find the problem here is in the mike. They make one called a "noise canceling" mike. This helps in big trucks and any other application where there is lots of ambient noise. I used one when I had a CB on my Dyna.
