Going riding tomorrow. I'll try and snap a pic or two of me on my bike. Sorry to rub it in for you guys back east, but is about 70 degrees here in so cal, so I'm riding all day tomorrow. Sorry guys, had to do it. Let me have it!!
Here's me standing behind my bike with the RK 'high' bars. I've thought about perhaps going a little higher but it's really a pretty good fit like this.
A little late, but as promised, here are a couple of pics of where my hands sit on my bars (if I can get the pics uploaded).
The numbers:
I'm 6'4". My bars are pushed forward a little bit past parallel from the front forks, so this puts my hands a little higher.
The bars are Big Buffalo, 16" ape hangers; 1 1/2 in diameter.16" End Rise, 10" center width, 41" wide, and a 9.75" pullback. Hope this helps. Its not the same as sitting on one, but at least it gives you an idea of where you will be.
By the way, not trying to look tough in the pics, just professional!!
Ok this is priceless! Where did you find these bars? They are exactly what I have been looking for....just a little higher than the stock bars and a few more inches of pull back. [sm=smiley20.gif]At least he's already in the proper position when he gets pulled over
I think it's ironic he's going by the Department of Transportation exit.
Have you looked at Carlini Designthey have a few options. I'm looking at the bar they offer for batwingbaggers. Thinking of switching up rides. You may also have to look at having your seat redone ( moving the bucket back a few inches). I'm 6' 11".
