I've asked the same question and had more responses from those using RJS heat shields. I would also like to know who's using the HD deflectors. RJS are twice the price.
I have a set on mine that are smoked plastic and they look like chrome in the sunlight....They have a chrome finish like some of the windshields, and believe me they are the best thing since white bread, really keep the heat down a must with a Hot nut roasting Harley....
I've heard that some of these work with the adjustable backrest, is that true? The prictures of the RJs from the left side make them look like they would cover the backrest adjuster.
Folks, I think all baggers are hot, not just 07's & 08's. My best friend rides an 04 UC, and he complains more about the heat than I do about my 07. BTW, his lowers always come off in the spring. Put on the shields. Pick a style you like & go for it. They work.
