Thinking of installint Tmax in my bike (05)as well as the wifes (06) obviuosly they do not have the 02 sensors.I am thinking of doing the install without the auto tune and would like to hear from someone who has done this and get there opinion.I realize that the entire system would work better if I install the bungs to the exhaust and use the auto tune but just weighing the options.
I put the T-max in without the auto tune the bike ran great but I was unable to dyno the bike because it's a trike I am now in the process of installing the auto tune.
You can order the O2 bungs directly from Zippers. If you go with the unit without autotune it is the same as going with a PCIII or similar products. Go with the Auto tune if you can spend the extracash!
Yes I have the oldschool T-Max (No autotune). The people I bought it from (Eastern performance) I think, shipped it with a map loaded for my application. 06â S/G with Rinehart Tru Duels and S/E aircleaner. It ran great right out of the box. I felt it was running a little rich, so I hooked my laptop to the bike and adjusted the A/F down about 2 percent. Still ran good. A nearby dealer had an open house and had FREE Dyno runs, I ran one. I was getting about 69 HP and 69 TQ. . A/F was still a little rich. So I went home and adjusted the A/F down another 3 percent and saw an increase of about 4 HP and TQ. If I had it to do again I would order the autotune.
when this dealer done your dyno run did it show your afr
if so about where was it?the reason i ask is because i had an indy shop
do a custom map for me(pcIII) and it seems to be a tad rich was thinking of leaning it out
to get a better mpg and maybe a few more ponies.similar to what you did

Yes the 1st run showed an A/F @12.5 . 2nd run was 13 flat.
Sometime this summer I will take it in for a full tune.
