Be props to vendors such as Chicago HD. I have taken advantage of their 20% off; for me is more like 28.5% off (8.25% local tax). They have a very reasonable s/h charge as well.
My local HD's almost never have such sales (maybe once a year).
If any others know of such deals please post.
RIDE HARD, RIDE SAFE!!!!!
I questioned my dealer about doingthe discountCHD does and he looked at me like I was nuts. So I called CHD from that same dealer in front of them and placed my order. I am also curious if anybody else gives the same discount also.
Chicago Harley Davidson is hard to beat. 20% off, no sales tax and prompt reasonable shipping. My dealer never has any sales on bling, MSRP for everything. Would like to buy local, but can't turn down the deal.
I've been watching the sales on e-bay for rider backrests. The comical thing is they usually end up selling for nearly what you could buy a new one forfrom CHD! Frankly, if the item is withing 15% of new, I'll get the brand spankin new one....CHD Rocks!
I actually told my dealer straight out that they lost my business for parts to the internet. I suggested they could start by offering a good discount to the loacl HOG chapter (20%) and maybe a life of the bike (10%) to Non-HOG Members.
Conrades in Joliet had some sweet 20 % sales in december different days differts items. This month January their having a big bag sale 17% off what can fit in the bag. I put a back rest some lighting and the painted inner fairing is a big bag nice savings. I like be loyal to my dealer then when it comes to service they remember, I have gotten work done quicker and straight anserws to questions when they know you. But I will go else were for 20% on large items or wait till the dealer has the sale. Just my 2 cents! Also I always buy from the dealer I have the service done at again loyalty brings loyalty.
