What a Ride.
Made it up to 35 degrees today and the road was dry so I had to try out the new bars. I posted last week about putting the Street Slammer bars on my 06 RK Classic. Well I got to try them today for the first time. The bike handles great, the narrower hand position and the pull back on the built in risers make it very comfortable to ride. The larger custom chrome grips were a good choice. A little larger than the stock ones and made of a softer material to absorb vibration.
After the ride I went by the dealer because they were having a 25% off sale on anything that would fit in a bag they provided. So I broke down and bought the bullet front turn signals to match the narrower tail light kit I had on the back. Should have thought of these when I did the bars because I had to pull the headlight off again to get to the turn signal wiring
Fit up nice and changed the look a little bit on the front end. You don't have those big round orange dots under you driving lights.
Waiting on the new front Fatboy fender to get back from paint and I'll have that mounted up when they mount the new wheels. I've got floating rotors being mounted on the front and I'll keep the stock rotor on the back since you don't see it anyway. I'll post up some more pics when the second round of mods are done. Man I can't wait for spring, these winter months are expensive.[:@]
