Exhaust Leak
Bought a new EGC. Had an '06 RKC. Removed the SEII's from the RKC, put them on the EGC. Now have an exhaust leak on my left side. I have tried the copper stuff from Auto Zone, it doesn't work. Any ideas??thanx.

Remove, wipe down, clean off any burrs, reset and use "new clamps and seals"... Trying over and over to retorque fittings usually ends up in cracks, stripped threads or even broken parts. Has happened to me before and I had to learn the hard way... I usually get into a rush and overlook the need for new parts..... as usually suggested by Harley.

I think Doug45601 is right. I went through that once on a Superglide. I finally stumbled into a dealer's shop that understood the problem, sold me new clamps & the leak stopped immediately after they were installed. Save yourself time & dollars. Go get some clamps. BTW, the HD's are hard to beat IMHO.
