Default LED/chrome bulbs

Anyone tried either one of them and if so how do they work? Bright enough, do they last, and how do they look in smoked lenses?

I am looking at LED technology as well. Good luck with the lights.

I have used the 1157 style bulb in my tail light and have not found one that will last as of yet, it seems that the contcact do not like making contact with the holder on the running light part of it, I have tried several different styles, have burned out 2 and had contact problems with 2 others. Given a chance again, I'd go the other route of getting the led board rather then the bulbs. Also I find the stock bulb to be brighter then the replacement bulb. I am now working with a 48 bulb leb and it is still not as bright as a standard 1157 bulb is. But I have found a very nice set of bullet style led turn signals for the front of the RG now.

Those LED bulbs are not that bright, most of them you see at auto parts stores are less bright than the stock incandecent lamps. For LEDs lamps to be brighter than incandecent, there needs to be more than just 12 LED bulbs on the lamp base. That's why you see LED boards to in place of stock lamps, these boards have anywhere from 40 LEDs to 125 and up. These are brighter than stock and use a lot less power too.

Quite beeing a cheap a$$ and go either pop for the kuryakyn bezels with the led in them or do what I am doing and make your own! I am buying smoked lens covers and installing a led board from radiantz with silicone and have 1 off customs for about $60 a pair and let me tell you they are hella bright! Go with led for sure! Check out www.radiantz.com! They will set you up or for cheaper prices go to www.customdynamics.comthey are super fast for shipping. Here are the lights
