I am thinking about installing some LED lights on the ultra and I know some of you have done this. Questions I have, can you wire them up to the accessory switch on the lower inner fairing? Also I want to just illuminate the ground underneath so which lights are the best? I have read a lot of info in this forum but nothing about pod type or individual or whatever is best for a particular application.

 

Well I didn't install mine, but the are the Electra Glow lights from HD and they are mounted on the frame (low) and above the engine heads. They do not come on with the ignition but wil a seperate switch that is mounted on the right side upper frame just below the saddle. The have an adjustable dial that you can set the lights to dim or bright or any in between. Thye light out the road underneath the ride pretty good. I'm planning to get the lighted floor boards as well later on.

Sort of, I want more flexibility that the HD setup though and would rather not add another switch. What is the factory ACC switch for? And by the way I think your lights look great, tastefully done and not like a Christmas tree.
