RE: CLEARVIEW WINDSHIELDS
I'm 6'5" ('08 SG) Just put an 8" w/recurve (black) on and it works so well I'm thinking maybe a 6" would have been good enough! I think the recurve is probably worth an inch or two. The Black keeps the SG look (vivid black bike) and I look over it anyway so it is not a prob. The 4" is without a doubt "form over function" and is ok for 'around town'. Just my .02
Also, I called and spoke to John(?). told them what I was looking for and they had it in stock; it was on the bike in 4 days! Great folks to deal with
Bike HAD the 12" stock HD shield on it. I found myself looking right across the edge of it.
Bought a 9.55 inche clearview in light smoke. I look over it by 2-3 inches. It offers the same, or BETTER wind protection than the stocker did, and the tint is light enough that it isn't an issue, even at night.
They are pricey, but worth it, IMO.
That light smoke tint...is that the same tint as the air deflectors under the batwing? Thinking I'd like one of them too.

Nope, you want the dark grey if your looking to match the air deflectors. I have both and if it's not a match I can't tell.
I have the 9.5 recurve. It deflects air high enough but
more air comes from the sides. This is because it is not
as wide as the stock shield. It narrows more quickly from
the fairing up. On long trips with extended highway riding
I may put the stock shield on.
90% of the time it is fine. Excellent quality, etc.
GOT MINE 1-16-08.. WAITED 3 MONTHS..OR WAS IF 4 MONTHS!!!!!
I HEAR GOOD AND BAD THINGS... HERE AT HD FORUMS...
GOING ON MY 07 R G ... SOME HERE STATING DOESNT FIT CORRECTLY WITH CHROME STRIP ON RG...WE SHALL SEE. NOT A GOOD CO TO DEAL WITH .. IT CANNOT TAKE 3 TO 4 MONTHS TO GET A PRODUCT.. THEY HAVE TO GET THEIR SHIIIT 2 GETHER! IMO
The RoadGlide shield from Clearview does not fit well with the HD chrome piece, The shield lays back at an angle and does it job very well, but the Chrome piece does not look right. Doc
