Chrome Rings
Anybody ever install the chrome rings (bezels) on a Electra Glide inner faring? You now around the speedo, tach, fuel guage,etc... Is it difficult? Any tips? Harley Dealer has 17% off anything you can fit in a bag. SoI bought them. Only one that looks difficult is the speaker rings.

Just pull off the tape liner and press in place. I would use a couple on dabs on clear silicone to make sure they stay put. Simple install with no tools required. They come with instructions.

I installed a complete set. The only issue that I have w/ HD is that they do not provide matching bezels for the fairing speakers. I think the HD trim looks out-of-place when compared to the other bezels. Now, I know DRAG SPECIALTIES sells a speaker bezel that matches the others....but the retail is $71.00.

I tried to put mine on but the tape wouldn't stick to well because of the cold so I opted to wait till it warms up a tad then I will use silicone also...Here's a PN for the front speaker trim.. 74604-99 $22.00

I just put them on my bike this week and it's a very easy job. I would recommend getting a roll of 3M exterior double-sided tape though. The 3M tape that comes with these chrome bezel ring kits isn't the best. You can use it, but there is better stuff available. I also know a few guys that didn't use tape at all. They used clear silicone instead. In any case, it's a snap.

My brother installed all of them on my scootin ten minutes,, no problem at all very easy ...He has more patience to deal with the double sided tape.

ive done it on 3 bikes,,,, just take your time,,,,,
speakers,, well line em up a few times, trial run, I used a little masking tape to help mark where they
need to be. Make sure you bike is upright, and you end up with level horizontal bar on speaker..
gauges,, well the little ones are easy if ya dab some silacone in there instead of the tape,,havn't had any come off yet. always prewipe with alcohol before sticking anything.
dont forget to do the rear speakers!
good luck,,, its pretty simple,, just dont get frustrated and rush
