This has turned into an awesome thread!! love all the feedback! for those with supermegs whats thee difference between the Kerker supermegws and Supertrapp supermegs?
Steve, I know you're the guy to ask. How does the sound volume of the D&D compare to a set fo Rinehart True Duals?
Loudness has a lot to do with the the motor in the bike, meaning it depends on what work has been done to the motor.....cams and compression.
Rinehart TD's on a stock 88" bike are pretty quiet unless you really crank on it. And at the sametime, a Fatcat with quiet baffle is pretty quiet unless you crank on it.
It's very very hard to say this one is louder or that one is louder............unless doing a side-by-side comparison with a db meter. I do actually know 2 people with stage 1 88" motors that each have one of the exhausts in question.....but this isn't really a good time of year to try to do a measurement since both bikes are in storage.
Jonah~ Looks like the difference is the ST has the tuning discs amd the Kerker doesn't! Have you thought of the Rinehart 2-1? I think it is a good looking pipe just a bit too loud for my taste!
