Welcome to the Global economy.
Don't be mislead... It's always been about the $$$... not thelabel.
"Made in America" may be nice, but the American publicspends their hard-earned moneybased on what they can afford to save.
...and the American public invests deeply into American companies making a profit.
Like it or not... we (the consumer) created it. It's the side-effect of living in the Greatest Country in the World.
Agree, I have been in manufacturing for 31 years now (Whirlpool Corp) Labor Management consultant and sad but true the American consumer is unwilling to pay extra for "Made in America" or union made and it's will get a lot worse Mexico etc. will drive this country into the ground I'm afraid![:@]
BTW love your dog we had 2 boxers best dogs in the world, obedience, loyal and damn smart just hate that they don't live very long both of ours was gone in less than 10 years cancer. Now we got 2 Mini Pins smart but don't mind worth a damn.. they keep the wife company tho.
I get so tired of everyone always saying buy "american made" there is nothing made in america anymore, maybe assembled in america with japanese, chinese, korean or indonesian parts
Just remember the profits from the bike built in Marysville, Ohio go to Japan. Most of their suppliers are companies set up by the Japanese. (Not all of them, but most.) Not an excuse for Harley parts made outside of the US, but we are in a global economy. Why do the Japanese build products here? Because it gives them an economic advantage. Why do American companies outsource overseas? Because it gives them an economic advantage.
"Made in America" many times means "Assembled in America" and does not mean that the parts assembled are 100% American.
The Honda Goldwingmay beJapanese but is"Made in America" or should I say "Assembled in America" in Ohio.
Over 65% of the partson the Gold Wing and VTX line are made in-house at the Marysville , OH. Honda plant. This is also the only place in the world these bike are made at.
PROFIT GOES TO AN AMERICAN COMPANY.. PS DONT 4GET UR WHEELS ARE PROBABLY MADE IN ITALY AND OF COURSE UR SHOUCKS A JAPANESE... WELCOME TO THE REAL WORLD
thank you all...i do feel better, not sure why...keep buying HD parts from Zanotti. I got a great deal....20% less than stealer, and no tax...that's all that matters!
I do not care where they are from anyways... i like my new HD!
If I am reading the posts correctly - I have two American made bikes - My Ultra Classic (soon to be custom) , and My alreadycustom VTX!
