Is it Manual Transmission 6-Speed? This would be my guess. GM designates their transmissions this way, e.g., A4 = automatic/4-speed and M6 = manual/6-speed.
while MT could stand for "manual transmission", I doubt that the 6 part of it has anything to do with 6 speed. Earlier versions of the SERT software read MT2 and MT5 files. You can check this by opening your SERT software and choose File->Load Tuning File. When the file open dialog box comes up then drop down the box that says "Files of Type".
I would suggest that the number probably has more to do with format changes of how the calibration file is stored as the software became more sophisticated.
