Seeing all the great looking bikes on here I would like to put that setup on my 08 SG. Ques. is spokes or billet style wheels? Iknow its Personal preference I'm considering AWWheel 60 spoke classics or aspen by renegade SG is vivid black which would hold up better in terms of corrosion? thanks
Chromed aluminum wheels will probably hold up better. Any cast wheel is going to be less maintenance and easier to clean than a spoke. I personally love my spokes, but those Aspen's are really nice.
I think chromed billet would be easier to clean, plus in case of emergency you can plug a tire on the road to get home. If you do end up choosing spokes avoid radial laced on the rear wheel for safety reasons.
Thanks for the advice I was reading on the forum about pits and flaking on chromed aluminum and I would hate to see this happen to a billet wheel. I would assume a good waxing would prevent this from occuring. Thanks Again.
Where did you find that they give a 7 year warranty on chrome?? I looked on there site and could'nt find anything about it.
Other companies I looked into are only giving 1-2 years on chrome and liftime on structual.
