Default RE: fob

I carried both my FOBs on one of my first rides. They both have the gas cap keys attached by a ring and on a gas stop, about 200 miles from home I unlocked the cap, put my key on the seat, it must have slid through the hole on the seat and dropped it. I rode off and lost the fob. I called the Gas station and someone turned it in, they mailed it to me and I got it about a week later. I now have my key on a ring w/o the fob. What I'm wondering is that I'd be SOL if I didn't have the second fob with me. Something to be concerned about?

I just put mine in my saddle bag when I'm riding. When I stop and leave the bike I put it in my pocket. No Problems!

I like the fob, just change the battery once a year. If you loose it there is a way to enter a code into the bike using the turn signals, your manual will walk you through setting up a code and how to enter it when you need to. I wrote the instructions on the back of my insurance card so I would always have it.

I keep mine in my pocket every once in a while the bike will give a loud whistle when I go to crank it. I guess it didn't recognize the fob at first. But it usually only whistles once and then cranks.

If you set your manual input code and canremember it and how to put it in, you're fine.
