ok guys,i am seeing more and more of guys on here doing the headers with slip-on's or just slip-on's a/c of there choice, and either sert or another module of there choice, why does MY dealer tell me that i need headers(for better flow and more accurate tuning)what ever slip-on's i want,SE a/c,sert(has more tuning #'s) and 6hrs of dyno time for a whopping 2100.00 including tax? help please what do i do.thanks.Zach
You don't need all that for just a rider. The slip on exhaust, AC upgrade and a SERT or Power Commander will give you some air flow so you aren't frying your legs anymore. If you want to go for some real power you have to spend a little more. You aren't gonna gain that much from your Dealer's recommendations though.
6 Hours of dyno time, what are you paying him to do train on it. Man, you need a new stealer, because you got the chief stealer of all time.6 hours he must be reading the directions as he goes too.
Get you someSE slip-on (or whatever you like), an big sucker AC, and a thundermax with auto tune, then tell the dealer to go screwhimself. You will a whole lot less money in it. You can do all the labor yourself too, not hard to install the slip-ons, AC, or thundermax, then no dyno.
I hate to see stealers try to burn someone, some of them need to be run out of town on a Honda.
I got to ring in here if you want the harley sound get something other than slip on's. I have heard a few that sound good but **** the ones that do are expensive might as well spend the cash and get a set of pipes rather than get suckered into SE slip ons and for another $200 bucks could have had a complete HARLEY SOUNDING NEW EXHAUST.
