I did the mod prior to IDS because I'm rarely on the big slab and I got tired of hearing that annoying 5th gear chatter while I was cruising in 5th. Also, I'm rarely on the big slab, so I almost never see 70mph. Therefore, 6th gear was pretty much useless. After the mod, the bike now has alot more low end pull in all gears ... not just 6th ... so it's more enjoyable to ride ... even in town.

ditto that more power in all gears Also to Dawhs comment If there is not enough play in the rear axle to move it frwrd or bkwrdsYOU MAY HAVE TO REPLACE THE STOCK BELT. It says that on the Andrews site you know the lil small print lol below where it says the stock belt will work lol
