I'm changing out the fork sliders on my SG and thinking of using the SE heay oil. Anyone used it in a bagger? Ride qaulity?

Thanks

You should consider putting in a suspension kit while you have it apart.
Maybe look at the Race Tech.

As for the oil, I can't comment on the SE fork oil. I use Bel-Ray 20w.

When I do my chrome lowers, I'm going with the SE fluid. I feel the front end is a bit squishy right now, and I've been told the SE fluid will stiffen it up a bit.

I have heard to mix the regular and the se heavy fork oil then put it in your forks. supposedly the se oil will make the ride a lot stiffer and by mixing them will find the happy medium.

I run the SE HD fork oil, I like it, but would prefer it a tad stiffer. On my buddies bike we usd the SE racing fork oil when we lowered it 1", he seems to like it that way.

Thanks for all the tips! I'm going with the heavy oil just to getrid of the bounce out the front end during shifting, braking and for abetter overall ride. Down the road I would like to install the Race Tech caddies system with thier gold valve emulators, supposed to be a great set up.

I use SE Heavy and recommend it. With the lighter oil, there is a freak possibility that you can brake and hit a pot hole at the same time and ding your front fender on the brake line tee bolt. Ask me how I know.

'Nother tip for taking the squish out of the front end is to over fill each tube by 1 oz. I've done it for years. No harm to the suspension, it takes some of the dive out, & ends bottoming.
