I would suggest reading the manual... either the owners or service. Then you would have known there was an easier way. Not that we don't mind answering questions, but...
hey isn't there stickers saying "please read owners manual before operating vehicle, failure to do so may result in injury" stuck all over the bike?
Thanks for all the tips. I did not even notice that the 05's hava an additional cover on the primary. So I can remove this inspection cover, instead of removing the derby cover, and pour the oil in there? Do I still pour till it reaching the bottom of the opening, or is that measure just for the derby cover?
I guess, I can just put in the whole quart, right?
Thanks
Stand the bike straight up, pull the *derby* cover, pour oil to the bottom of the *derby* window. Use one of these.............
I use a large plastic Syringe (no needle), holds about6 ounces. I use it for the primary and the transmission.
I measure out my oil in a plastic bowl (that I have marked off
in ounces) and suck it up in the syringe and spit it out.
No spills and fits in tight places..
Can't you just help him with an answer it says Tips or tricks on the post, Instead of giving him carp about the owners manual like you are some kinda of smarta$$, everytime I read a post where a newbie is looking for a simpler way some jerk says that
