Hi all yet again, im just wondering could any of you out there with any experience with a streetglide tell me how nice they sound stock or do i need to put the screaming eagle pipes on to get that harley sound "stupid question or what", me and my girlfreind would realy appreciate it.
Turn off every thing in your house so that the only thing you here running is the cooling fan on your computer. O.K. now that you have done that you can here what your stock SG will sound like. They are not very "throaty" with stock pipes at all.
I also have a Street Glide with stock pipes, I was surprised by what I heard, not a bad sound but it lacks the good ole rumble. I've considered V&H ovals, but would like to hear other slip-on mufflers.
I can never get the stock pipes off fast enough and into the dumpster. They look and sound like crap. More work to take the stock set-up off than to put new ones on. Stockers are engineered to rob power/kill sound. Bigger smile with new pipes!
I put the SE performance slip ons on mine and I really like them. They have the rumble to them and you can still enjoy the tunes while riding. Mine is louder than my friends SE EG that still has the stock pipes on it.
I have the SE slip-ons and I like the sound and performance. I put Santee 225's duals on the 05 TC and love the performance, but they are a bit loud for a bagger, unless you dont want to listen to tunes. They are ok when cruising, but any throttle and the tunes go away.
