TW 7H Cam
It's been suggested that I run this cam over my plan of the TW 6. After breaking open the piggy bank and being seriously disappointed... yup, no 103 build just yet, but can swing the cam. Only mods are in sig. Looking for a cam that I'll get decent low end out of but will also not be "undercammed" when I do get to the 103. From what I understand this is pretty much a "bolt in" cam and from what I've been told, this would be more compatible with my stock heads/compression.Is anyone runningthis cam and what are your thoughts?
The TW6 is a great all around bolt in cam that will give you good gains on a stock engine and will also work well with the 103 build at a later date. Lots of guys running them with the 103s.
Look on a couple of th ebuilders websites like Latus, Hillside, etc and you will see some of the results with the 6.
By looking at the numbers of the TW-7 it is a nice bolt in cam. With 240 duration and the cam timing you will be quite please with this setup. Also, if you have not yet talk to Bob himself, please do so. Great person to talk to, tell him what you want to do and what you have, he will work with you.

Thanks Dalton, actually Mike at Latus made the suggestion:
"We have to be careful of our definition of "low end tq". The TW6-6 will not improve tq much from 1.5-2.7 (especially with stock compression), but will show very good gains from 2.7 on. If you consider 2.7k low end then we are good to go with the TW6. If you wish to gain from 2-3, you may be disappointed. Your goal of improving 2-5 may have to shift to 2.7-5. Go with the TW-7H as this is compatable with your current heads and will be the better choice with the future changes. Would predict 92hp/104tq with stock heads/compression."
I've done a fair bit of searching but most of the posts and sites show all combos except stock, so I guess I need to keep looking. I guess I'm looking for some one who has or knows of some one who's run the TW7 as a cam only. It sounds like either is a great cam but since I probably won't get around to the 103 til next year, I'm looking for the best choice for right now, or which of the 2 comes on sooner. Luxury problems!
I have the 7H. You need .575 lift. The Screamin' Eagle MCR Heads are compatable with the Woods TW-7H and I am running a ThunderMax Auto-Tuner. I am making 100 tq in the low to mid range and 93 hp. I am running 10.5:1 compression with cometic gaskets.
